º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ

Supporting Scholarships

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s Scholarship Program supports a culture of excellence and diversity on campus. A robust Scholarship Program attracts students of academic and musical talent and opens the door to a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ education for many young students whose families may never have considered it possible.

The Scholarship Program is underpinned by financial support from the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Foundation together with support from generous donors across the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ community.

Duty Scholarships (needs-based)

Supporting students unable to attend º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ without financial assistance

Supporting families from diverse cultural, geographic and socio-economic backgrounds is an essential tenet of a well-rounded scholarship program and a socially responsible educational institution. Scholarships for students who would otherwise be unable to attend º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ will be funded under the collective Duty Scholarships.

Boarding Scholarships

Supporting rural, regional and international boarders – an integral part of the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ community

Boarding families have been a cornerstone of the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ community since the School’s foundation in 1858. Close to 200 boarders from across Western Australia and internationally are provided a home on the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ campus in one of three boarding houses. Appreciating the additional cost of boarding and the vagaries of rural and remote life, boarding scholarships are an essential part of the Scholarship Program, providing stability in our enrolment and opportunities for others.

Indigenous Scholarships

Supporting Indigenous students from across Western Australia to attend º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ

The Indigenous Scholarship Program has been operating at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ since 1998 when the first boys were interviewed and selected for the program. Each year, an average of 25 to 30 students from around Western Australia, across Years 7 to 12, benefit from the support of key boarding staff as well as a dedicated Indigenous Support Officer who is a past graduate of the program. The School maintains a close relationship with many communities and families, having now educated well over 100 Indigenous students in the program, the majority of whom have gone on to tertiary studies or trades.

Music Scholarships

Supporting talented, capable and leading student musicians

The music department at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ runs over 600 individual music lessons per week with over 460 º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students also engaged in band, choir, orchestra, jazz and various other music ensembles. Music scholarships help attract gifted and talented music students to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. Bringing talented and capable students to the program helps lead and inspire the entire cohort of student musicians.

Academic Scholarships

Supporting academically gifted students and encouraging excellence

Academic Scholarships are offered at Year 7 entry with optional testing open to all new enrolments. Beyond the recognition of excellence, the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Foundation acknowledges that the invitation of exceptional students into our student body benefits our entire school.  Academic scholars are encouraged to pursue a rigorous academic program and to engage with fellow students at every level of learning.
