Performing and Creative Arts

At º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, we explore the creativity inherent in every child.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has a reputation for excellence in music, drama and visual art. Several º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students have gone on to become professionals in their creative fields as actors, musicians, composers, producers, stage lighting and sound specialists, artists and more.

Across the School, there are specialist teachers in Music, Drama and Visual Art.

The opening of the John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre in 1999 heralded a new era in performance at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. The Auditorium is a purpose-built space with high-quality acoustics for Music and Drama performances, which run throughout the year.

In 2024 the expansion of our performing arts program continued with the opening of the new Cygnet Theatre precinct, which includes state-of-the-art media and drama studios.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is also the home of Redfoot Youth Theatre, which offers exciting and diverse theatrical opportunities to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ boys in Year 5 to 12 and girls from any school in Years 7 to 12.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ also has a proud tradition of excellence in Visual Art, with the annual Student Art Exhibition involving all year groups held every year, and student artworks consistently selected for display at the annual Year 12 Perspectives Exhibition held at the Art Gallery of Western Australia

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
